Statement of
the North Cass Community Union, Inc.

North
Cass Community Union, Inc. ( "NCCU") is a Michigan Nonprofit
community advocacy, development and service organization serving
the people who live and work in the North Cass neighborhood of Detroit,
Michigan. Incorporated in 1977, NCCU membership is open to all people
who live or work in the North Cass neighborhood or who have lived
or worked in the North Cass neighborhood and have continuously demonstrated
an interest in the good and welfare of our neighborhood and its
people.
Our
Mission is to serve the people of the North Cass neighborhood by:
- Providing
vigorous advocacy on behalf of the people of North Cass to Local,
State and other government officials and agencies on matters affecting
the health, safety, welfare and quality of life in the North Cass
neighborhood.

Working to improve the quality of life and environment in the
North Cass neighborhood.
- Striving
to preserve the historic character and diverse architecture of
the North Cass neighborhood.
- Providing
opportunities for local artists, musicians, poets, writers and
activists to share their vision and gifts with our community.
